About This CS:GO Crosshair Generator

This CS GO crosshair generator is very simple to use. It’s all very straightforward, and that was how the developer of it wanted it to be. We need to stress, that we did not develop this tool. It’s a freeware tool, and we’re simply hosting it.

With this tool, you can come up with your own, favorite crosshair. Note, that it’s not like there’s one crosshair out there that’s the best. It all depends on what you play best with. There are literally about as many crosshairs as there are players. However, there are of course some crosshairs that are very popular. For example, you’ll find that the crosshair from 1.6 is used by a lot of players. This is because a lot of pro players have been playing since Counter-Strike 1.6 or Counter-Strike Source. Here’s what the classic CS:GO crosshair looks like. Many people use it because it’s easy to use, simple and most importantly: it’s the crosshair that they’ve always been using for years.

What we highly recommend is to resist the urge to constantly change your crosshair. Try a few until you find your favorite. Then stick to that one. Never change it. You’ll find that you’ll play a lot worse if you change your crosshair again. So, therefore the rule of thumb is to find your favorite one and then never change it. This is what you’ll find almost all pros do.

It’s also possible to get a so-called dot crosshair. It’s not something we use ourselves, but some people seem to play a lot better when they use it. Here’s what that one looks like:

We have a blog post about csgo dot crosshairs. You can check it out here. Remember that it’s not a crosshair we would recommend. There are however some people that play better with it.

How To Change Your CS:GO Crosshair

The CS GO crosshair maker comes with a great UI, which makes it very straightforward to configure a crosshair. However, here’s a short step-by-step guide on how to use it:

  1. Change the different parameters until you come up with a crosshair you like.
  2. As you’ll see, the code for the crosshair is being generated in the config field. Copy that into your config file.
  3. If you prefer, you can also copy the data in the “Developer Console” field into your developer console, hit enter, and your crosshair will also be defined.
  4. Choose one of the two methods above, and you’ll have your new crosshair configured within seconds.

We recommend a combination of generating your own crosshair, and testing out crosshairs that pros use. We have compiled a big database of pro players and their crosshairs. You should try playing with a professional CS:GO crosshairs, and then choose the one that you like the most.

Here’s a YouTube video on how to change your crosshair using the CSGO crosshair generator. Hope it helps.
